Currently based in Bad Homburg, Germany, Gabrielle Trom is a sculptor working primarily in figurative art. Trom spends the majority of her sculpting hours working on portraits from life, conversing with her subjects to focus on their histories as part of her process in the creation of the clay works.

Many of the works produced by Trom retain a variety of the underlying layers and sketchwork from the initial stages of her sculptures. Since her university studies in Minnesota, Trom has been interested in the liveliness of additive sculptures and would continue to pursue this movement and sense of growth in her studies of the figure at the Barcelona Academy of Art.

In 2023, Trom launched the Sculpture Program at the Academy of Fine Art Germany where she currently teaches sculpture, materials science, écorché, and drawing.
